Prado Airpark

The Prado Airpark is on county land and operated by the Pomona Valley Model Airplane Club. During the week only PVMAC club members are allowed to fly at the field. However, on the weekend for nominal fee, the field is open to other pilots (AMA required). The Scale Squadron and PVMAC have worked together on many projects in the past. Today, many Scale Squadron Members are also PVMAC members and fly there regularly.

The Prado field’s runway is approximately 800’ long X 60’ wide with enough asphalt pit area to support 30 canopies. Prado Park is part of the Prado Flood Control Basin and is located 5 miles northwest of Corona and 3 miles southwest of Chino (very close to Chino Airport so there IS a 400 foot enforced altitude limit). Additionally, picnic facilities are available at the site. The field is leased from the San Bernardino County Parks and Recreation Department. The field is operated under the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) guidelines.
